What This Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy explains how Voketa collects, uses, and protects information when you use our LinkedIn-focused products, including profile alignment analysis, AI-supported content creation, post scoring, and performance logging. It also explains your choices and rights.

Information We Collect

• Account data: Name, email, authentication tokens (hashed or opaque), and plan selection.
• Profile alignment data: LinkedIn headline, about, experience, and other fields you paste for analysis. We do not scrape LinkedIn.
• LinkedIn connection data: OAuth tokens and scopes, LinkedIn person URN, and token expiry to enable posting and (if approved) analytics syncing.
• Content & drafts: Prompts, AI-supported drafts, post scores, scheduling preferences, and publication lifecycle (draft/scheduled/published).
• Performance data: Metrics you enter manually (impressions, saves, comments, reactions) and any LinkedIn analytics we are approved to sync.
• Usage & device data: Log data (IP, browser type/version, timestamps), product events, and approximate location derived from IP for security and abuse detection.
• Support data: Information you provide in support tickets, emails, or feedback.
• Cookies & local storage: Used for authentication, session continuity, and preference storage. We do not use third-party ad trackers.

How We Use Information

• Deliver and improve the service: Generate AI-supported content, score drafts, align your profile to pillars, and maintain uptime.
• Personalization: Recommend pillars, prompts, and content structures based on your stated goals and prior performance.
• Security and abuse prevention: Detect fraud, enforce acceptable use, and protect accounts.
• Communication: Send transactional emails (account notices, billing, critical product changes). We only send marketing emails if you opt in.
• Analytics: Measure product usage to improve features and reliability. Analytics data is aggregated or pseudonymized where possible.
• LinkedIn posting: If you choose to connect LinkedIn and request posting, we use your tokens only to create, draft, or schedule posts you initiate.
• LinkedIn analytics: If LinkedIn approves analytics access and you connect with the required scopes, we fetch post-level metrics to show you performance inside Voketa.
• Legal compliance: Meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

Legal Bases (EEA/UK users)

We process personal data on the basis of contract (to provide the service you signed up for), legitimate interests (to secure and improve Voketa), legal obligation (when required by law), and consent (for optional communications).

Sharing Your Information

• Vendors: Trusted processors for hosting, email delivery, payments, and analytics—only what is needed to provide the service and under data protection agreements.
• Legal & safety: To comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Voketa, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers: In a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your data may transfer subject to this Policy or an equivalent notice.
• We do not sell personal information.

Data Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal requirements, or resolve disputes. LinkedIn tokens are stored only to honor the scopes you grant and are deleted if you disconnect. Scheduled posts remain until delivered or deleted. You can request deletion; we will remove or de-identify data unless retention is required by law (e.g., billing records).

Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), role-based access, least-privilege controls, and routine backups. No method is 100% secure; we continuously improve safeguards and monitor for abuse.

Your Choices & Rights

• Access and export: Request a copy of your personal data.
• Correct or delete: Update profile data or ask us to delete your account and associated personal data.
• Opt out: Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.
• Permissions: You can revoke LinkedIn or other connected account access at any time; doing so may limit features.
• LinkedIn reconnection: If scopes change (e.g., to enable analytics), you must reconnect and consent again. Without reconnection, we will not request additional LinkedIn data.
• EEA/UK: You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and can lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

AI and LinkedIn Content

AI-supported content generation uses the prompts and profile data you provide. We do not publish to LinkedIn without your action; you control when posts go live. If you use one-click posting, we post only the content you confirm. Do not provide sensitive data (health, financial account numbers, government IDs) in prompts or uploads.

International Transfers

Your data may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our vendors operate, with safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses where required.

Children's Privacy

Voketa is not intended for individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child provided data, contact us and we will delete it.
